i heart today

jesus knows me, this i love.

I read alot about love this morning.

That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us…So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him…There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear…We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4

“We’ve been more than noticed. God has pursued us from father than space and longer ago than time…If God is the Pursuer, the Ageless Romancer, the Lover, then there has to be a Beloved, one who is Pursued. This is our role in the story.” The Sacred Romance

Oh to be loved by Jesus! I am infinitely loved. And not just today.

And even though Valentine’s Day is a holiday created by Hallmark and Hershey’s, I think it’s one of the greatest inventions of all time. Love me some hearts, candy, flowers, red & pink, chocolate covered strawberries, and Rom-Coms. May today and everyday we know and believe that we are loved and pursued by Love himself!

sixty years = a long time

My grandparents, Bill and Katherine, deserve a standing ovation. They went to the chapel and got married. SIXTY years ago.

It’s purely by the grace of God that two people can love each other and live with each other for that long. I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around that amount of time. That’s a bucket-load-o-years. I think what’s really blowing my mind is knowing that they’ve been married longer than they haven’t been married. As a 21 year old, that is absolutely NUTS-O to me. Minus 20-something years, they’ve walked through life together and known each other more than any other human. There is the potential that you will live life with and grow with and experience joy and pain with someone for 60 plus years like Bill and Katherine. With Jesus as the foundation, pretty sure it would be a beyond pleasant experience. PTL for Christ-centered marriages.

Bill’s a stud.

Katherine’s a beauty.

I’m so amazed at how long they’ve loved each other.

I tried to snag a pic of them cutting their cake. Three  Sixty cheers for my sweet grandparents.

here comes the bride!

I am BEYOND PUMPED to announce the engagement of one of my best friends on planet earth: Abigail Margaret Troutman. Soon to be MRS. FENNELL.

I just love how the friendships that the Lord blessed me with in highschool have developed into some of my most treasured relationships. Abby was always a great friend of mine throughout highschool, but in college, she has definitely become one of my closest and dearest friends.  She reflects Jesus in the things that she says and the way that she lives. I am so blessed to have her as a friend that I can walk with through life. Andy and Abby (aka Body and Baby compliments of T9 texting) are definitely a power couple. Eight years under their belt and MANY more to come. They have come a long way since their days in braces. (See above picture for how dang good-lookin’ they are.)

Dear month of June, HURRY UP ALREADY!

This is semi-belated, but very blog-worthy.

Two of my roommates are ENGAGED. (cue big smiles, shrieks, tears, laughter, toasts, etc.) This is a very very big deal. They are tying the knot, saying “i do,” going to the chapel and they’re gonna get ma-a-a-arried. I just could not be happier for them.

(fyi: if our kitchen table is ever turned like this–someone is getting engaged….and another fyi: if my face looks like this–someone might be getting engaged.) The Tiny Cheetah is 2/6 (or 1/3) pledged to be married. How crazy. I share a bathroom with two engaged women. People, I’ve never lived with so many diamonds.
